A Blessing for The One Who Needs a Joy Deeply Rooted

As we chase God’s goodness in the middle of life’s hard, we cannot forget the grace He offers us even in the mundane moments of our days. This month’s blessing for you reminds you who and how He asks you to live and love in the shadow of the Cross. May it give you pause to remember how He loved you first, so you could love most.

Today, may we find a joy deeply rooted.

In the air we breathe. In the steps we take. In the life we live.

Today, may we brave the tenderest of spaces for the sake of another.

Carrying the wounded. Holding up the war-torn. Lifting up the brokenhearted.

Today, may we let go of the temporary things.

Laying down our wants. Picking up what’s holy. Honoring a God who is always enough.

Today, may surrender our pride, our pomp and circumstance.

Embracing humility. Chasing peace. Choosing love.

Today, may we see the one who no one else sees.

Around the corner. In the checkout line. Or even right beside us.

Today, may we show the world what it is to take heart.

For He is greater. For He is stronger. For He has overcome.

Today, may we point to the One who loved us all the way to a Cross.

Trading condemnation for grace. Exchanging chaos for peace. And surrendering bitterness for a joy deeply rooted.

Amen.

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy.
