As we endeavor to love well, may we remember who loved us first, standing ready to pour out the blessing of a love already given to all who He places in our wake.
Today, may we carry the burden of another.
The burden of loss. The burden of pain. The burden of hard and holy things. Today, may we hold onto hope for someone reaching through the darkness.
Taking her hand. Listening to her hurt. Lifting her up with love.
Today, may we see beyond our own gait.
Looking before us. Looking beside us. Looking behind us.
Today, may we still our mouths, bend our ears, and open our hearts.
To those the world leaves behind. To those who others might discount. To those who a hold Father’s heart.
Today, may we bridge the gap between heaven and the hurting.
Having the courage to brave the uncomfortable. Having the grace to know how to tread through the unspoken. Having the humility to admit our ignorance.
Today, may we lean so deeply into the truth of who He is and how he loves, those we reach can’t help but say...
“Today, I knew the love of a Savior.”
“In the same way I loved you, you love one another.”
